Our Mission, Vision, Ministry Philosophy and Values

  • Mission

Following Christ to Help Others Follow Christ.

  • Vision

To share the love of Christ and ignite a passion for growing Christ's Kingdom across Rim Country, our state, nation and the world.

  • Ministry Philosophy

We promote intergenerational ministry that nurtures relational discipleship and leads to community involvement.

  • Values

The values of our church represent our core beliefs, drive our vision, and bring the culture of heaven to our life and mission as we abide together in Christ.

The values listed here are both what we believe and that to which we aspire.

Transformational Teaching and Study of God’s Word.

We value God’s Word as the primary revelation of God and his purpose in this world. For this reason, we emphasize the expository teaching of Scripture during our worship services. We also encourage every follower of Jesus to engage in their own personal study of God’s Word in order to grow in their knowledge of God and His purpose for us. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 2:2)

Inspirational Relationships.

We value relationships because God is a relational being who was willing to sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ, to draw us back into relationship with Him. For this reason, we place relationship before program and aim to promote relationships which are established and maintained by a spirit of grace. (John 13:34-35; Romans 12:9-13)

Christ-following Peacemakers.

Above all else we value Christ. Our sin has separated us from God, who desires that all people and all things in heaven and earth be united. That unity can only be realized as each individual is reconciled through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

Spirit Empowered Servants.

We value lives empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God and others using those gifts the Spirit has provided for each follower of Jesus to advance His kingdom in our world. (1 Thessalonians 1:5; Romans 12:5-8; Matthew 6:10)

Passionate Worshipers.

We value the glorifying God as the primary purpose of every follower of Jesus Christ. Thus, we hold that a life of worship is our highest calling, and that our gathered worship will always be a time when we pursue God’s presence and glory. (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 14;24-25; Psalm 146)

Prayer that Opens Doors.

We value a vital prayer life for the individual and for the church, believing that God has provided this vehicle of communication to enhance our relationship with Him and with one another, and to open doors for ministry that manifests the power of God’s love to a world in desperate need. (Acts 4:31; Colossians 4:2-4; James 5:16)
